Greetings friends of the Undercoft!
We’ve just done a big summer of getting the word out – so thank you to everyone who has listened to us, engaged with us, supported us and especially those of you who have been able to find money to help us get off the starting block!
Now that we are out of the festival mud and back with our laptops and wifi, we have been busy running around meeting and speaking to people as well as reaching out to philanthropists to help us hit our fundraising target of £790,000.
Below is our Fundraiser Brochure that we are trying to spread to those who are able to make the key difference.
We’re trying to speak to as many people as possible – who are as passionate about Southbank as we are – to get the word out there and boost the online llsbdonate.com fundraiser and realise the dream of restoring a quite exceptional space, not just for the local community, but for the whole of London and far beyond.
We have been working closely with the awesome team at Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios who have produced some more drawings of the restoration designs so we can take you on the journey with us to see what could be! They show the extent of the extended skate space, which really helps you visualise just what a creative boost for culture and creativity this will be.
The little banks, wooden ledge, barrier and increased space will be sure to capture local skaters imagination, but the increased atmosphere of this space right in the centre of London will have positive repercussions far beyond this community!
In other news, the Southbank Table has taken a short break but will be back in November so you can all check up on our progress and perhaps buy your nearest and dearest some LLSB Christmas goodies! We’ll be in the usual spot, just next to the Undercroft itself, with specific dates and times to be announced soon. Look out for the LLSB Table on Tour too as it travels to wherever it’s invited!
Stay tuned for more surprises we’ve lined up for the end of this year, and the beginning of the next!
